Due to exhausted grant funding and reduced volunteer availability, all new program applications are temporarily suspended for the month of August. Our team will continue processing existing applications already submitted, but we are unable to accept any new requests until further notice. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to secure additional funding and prepare for the next phase of support. 

The ResQ Fund provides financial assistance for veterinary care for community-owned and rescue pets. The primary emphasis is on spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and aiding strays through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs.

The ResQ Fund is currently only available to pet owners living in the eight counties that make up the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Berkeley, Jefferson, Grant, Hardy, Morgan, Hampshire, Mineral, or Pendleton County) and to rescues that serve and help our area.

Once an application is reviewed, the ResQ Fund program manager will determine the amount of the grant for the applicant.  For spay and neuter, the applicant may be asked to contribute a portion of the cost or apply for coupons that may be available to them.  If funding is available through the WV Spay and Neuter Assistance program, the cost of spay/neuter and rabies vaccines will be covered through this program while funds last.

We are also here to support rescues. Our funds can be used for spay and neuter or for other veterinary needs for rescues with whom we have a ResQ Partner agreement. If you are with a rescue and would like to be eligible for financial assistance and other benefits, please apply to be a ResQ Partner.
