The ResQ Shuttle provides transportation for rescues, shelters and community pet owners who need a ride to low-cost clinics or vet practices for veterinary services. The ResQ Shuttle is also available to provide "freedom rides" to animals at risk in overcrowded shelters.
The ResQ Shuttle will post a calendar of dates available to transport. We are currently available twice a month to take animals from the Eastern Panhandle of WV to Promise Animal League, a low-cost veterinary clinic in Boonsboro, MD for spay/neuter and other services. We will also be available twice a month, mainly on Mondays or Tuesdays, to take animals to low-cost clinics in Maryland, Pennsylvania or Virginia. If a driver is available, we may be available to provide transportation for other appointments made outside of our regular schedule.
The ResQ Shuttle will provide transportation to a medical facility or to a rescue/shelter for at-risk animals in shelters or abandoned in the community. This service may include lengthy travel to other states or coordination with other agencies. Health certificates will be obtained when required by law.
There is no charge to the pet owner or rescue for transportation. However, we will gladly accept donations to cover gas and mileage for the transporter. The rescue or pet owner must make arrangements for payment to the clinic for all services rendered prior to the pick up of animals by the ResQ Shuttle.
If you have questions or would like to inquire about arranging a ResQ Shuttle transport, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. A program manager will be in touch and work with you to schedule transportation.
All groups or individuals using the ResQ Shuttle service must sign this contract and liability release prior to arranging transportation.
